Matthew Corban himself served as an executive at Racing NSW during the wagering parity boom, a period that witnessed the establishment of The Championships and the emergence of The Everest Spring Carnival. After spending four years on an Overseas Experience (OE) in Europe and pursuing a successful career as a Derivatives Trader, Matthew returned to New Zealand with a renewed appreciation for his true passion: horse racing. He is eager to introduce newcomers and re-engage long-time enthusiasts in the thrilling world of horse racing.In addition to his love for the racetrack, Matthew's other passions include competitive boxing, spending time with his family, and seeking out intrepid travel experiences.

Allan Sharrock

Richard & Will Freedman

The Freedman name is no stranger to racing with brothers, Lee, Michael and Richard forming the Freedman Brothers and having a multitude of successes including 5 Melbourne Cup Winners. After going their separate ways, Richard became a renowned racing and sports broadcaster. After 15 years he once again joined the training ranks in 2017. Richard was joined by his brother Michael where they saw success winning the Group 1 Golden Slipper before going on to train in their own right. Richard has now been joined by his son Will who will now train as a father-son duo. In 2020 Will ventured out on his own to train a small string of horses at Scone and in that relatively short period of time made a real fist of it preparing 44 winners.He started with just eight in work and finished with a stable of 20 but realising growth beyond that in terms of the quality and quantity of stock was limited he felt it was time to head to the city and link up with his father.

Mark Walker & Sam Bergerson

Mark Walker – Te Akau New Zealand Trainer with training partner Sam Bergerson – is a world-class horse trainer, with six Champion Trainer titles in New Zealand, and four in Singapore. Walker joined Te Akau Racing straight from school and rose to the heights of top-class thoroughbred trainer, capable of making his mark in any racing jurisdiction worldwide. In the 2022/23 season Mark and the team smashed New Zealand racing records left, right and centre: Mark became the first every trainer to train a double century of winners, with 203 to his credit at season end. This was 103 ahead of the closest trainer. He also captured the fastest 100 winners (previously also held by Te Akau), and recorded his 100th stakes’ winner. In the blockbuster season, Walker claimed 33 Group/Listed victories in New Zealand and a Group 1 with Imperatriz in Melbourne, amassing well over $9 million in stakes for Te Akau owners. In 2023, Mark took our his training license in Victoria, as Te Akau prepares to establish a stable at Cranbourne.
