PALACE PIER – EXCITING NEW SIRE
World Champion Miler & Kingman’s Best Son
By Palace Pier, the best son of global sire sensation Kingman, this colt boasts world-class bloodlines. Kingman has sired 89 stakes winners and made a major impact in Australia with stars like Zardozi and King Colorado. Palace Pier stood one season in Australia at a $55,000 fee and holds a Timeform rating of 132 — higher than Anamoe, Mr Brightside, and Fangirl.
This colt’s pedigree blends the power of Kingman and Exceed and Excel, setting him up as a high-class miler. A half-brother to stakes winner La Danseuse Rouge, he’s a striking chestnut expected to target Spring Guineas races as a 3YO, with the scope to feature in late 2YO autumn races.

THE ALLAN SHARROCK FACTOR
When it comes to results, few do it better than his trainer Allan Sharrock. With just 40 horses in work at any given time, he consistently delivers one of the best strike rates in the country — and is currently sitting fourth on the premiership. His elite training record includes stars like Wahid, Shez Sinsational, Ladies Man, and Kawi. We’re proud to say we’re the only external syndicator currently offering horses with Allan Sharrock — giving our owners exclusive access to one of New Zealand’s most successful stables.

CONFORMATION & RACE TARGETS
Much like his sire, we see this colt coming into his own as an autumn two-year-old, with the long-term target being the Guineas races in the New Zealand spring. He also profiles as the kind of horse who could compete in the Australian autumn carnival, where the 1400–1600m three-year-old races offer outstanding opportunities.
We have high hopes for him — and to be honest, we were shocked we landed him at that price. The Australasian market still underestimates the quality of these northern hemisphere miler bloodlines, particularly the shuttle stallions standing at Darley. You only have to look at the impact of Too Darn Hot’s first crop to see the tide turning.
He’s unlikely to be a pre-Christmas two-year-old, but with a bit of patience (emphasis on bit), he’s got the pedigree, physical strength, and upside to develop into a serious racehorse.
