More Than a Share in a Racehorse

More Than a Share in a Racehorse
There’s nothing quite like having a runner of your own.
The build-up during the week. Checking the fields and barrier draw. The messages from the trainer. Arriving at the track and meeting the other owners. Walking into the birdcage. Watching your horse head to the start.
And then, if everything goes right, celebrating a winner together.
That’s what racehorse ownership should be about.
At Inspire Racing, we want to make it easier for more people to experience it.
Racing is better shared

You don’t need to own an entire horse to experience the best parts of racing.
Syndicated ownership allows a group of people to share a horse, the costs and, importantly, the experience.
For many of our owners, the people they meet along the way become a big part of the enjoyment.
Our ownership groups bring together people from completely different backgrounds who have one obvious thing in common: they love horses and racing.
Race days become social occasions. Owners get to know each other. Friendships form. And when you do win, you've got a group of people standing beside you who understand exactly why it means so much.
Race with us in New Zealand and Australia

Inspire Racing has horses racing on both sides of the Tasman.
We work with leading trainers including Allan Sharrock and Te Akau in New Zealand, as well as Richard & Will Freedman and Bjorn Baker in Australia.
That gives our owners the opportunity to experience racing at home in New Zealand while also being part of horses competing in Australia.
Whether it's a Wednesday maiden or a Saturday metropolitan meeting, having your own horse running changes the way you experience racing.
Suddenly, you're not just watching.
You're involved.
Getting closer to the horses

One of the best parts of ownership happens away from race day.
Following a young horse through its education, receiving updates from the stable, watching its first jumpout or trial and seeing it gradually develop into a racehorse is incredibly rewarding.
We want our owners to understand what is happening with their horses and why.
That means regular communication, access to trainer updates and opportunities to get closer to the horses and the people preparing them.
The journey is rarely a straight line — that's horses — but following that journey is a huge part of what makes ownership so addictive.
You don't need to know everything about racing
Some of our owners have followed racing their entire lives.
Others are experiencing ownership for the first time.
You don't need to understand pedigrees, handicapping or bloodstock to get involved.
That's our job.
We buy horses we genuinely like, place them with trainers we trust and try to make the entire ownership experience straightforward and enjoyable.
We'll explain what's happening along the way.
Ownership doesn't have to cost a fortune
Racehorse ownership is often perceived as something reserved for the wealthy.
It doesn't have to be.
Through syndication, you can own a smaller percentage of a horse and share the ongoing expenses with the other owners.
Before joining one of our horses, you'll receive a full breakdown of the purchase price, your share and the expected ongoing costs.
There shouldn't be any mystery around what you're signing up for.
We take the racing seriously. Not necessarily ourselves.

We want to win races.
A lot of thought goes into the horses we buy, the trainers we use and where those horses race.
But racing is also supposed to be fun.
There will be winners, beaten favourites, road trips, celebrations, disappointments, questionable decisions after the last race and plenty of stories along the way.
That's part of it.
We want Inspire Racing to be somewhere people can enjoy racing with good horses and, equally importantly, good people.
Come racing with us

If you love horses and racing and want to meet more people who share that passion, we'd love to have you involved.
Whether you're looking for your first small share or already have experience owning racehorses, there are opportunities to join our racing team in New Zealand and Australia.
You don't need to commit to anything to find out more.
Have a look at our current horses, send us a message, or come and have a coffee with us.
Come racing with Inspire and experience ownership for yourself.
